This bannerplate is very customizable and will fit well with any color and design scheme. Just play with the colorizing feature until you hit one you like.

- I like working with large images so in order to save page load time I have zipped up the beginning image. It is also large so that you may make the plate any size you want. You can download it HERE
Let's get started
*Please note: If you install this tutorial as a quick guide you may get a script error when trying to view the images, just click "yes" at the prompt and the images will show properly. Don't know how to install quick guides? then check out the tutorial found HERE.- Open the starting image. Duplicate it and close the original. Decide the width and height you want the finished plate to be and resize the image by going to image->resize. Make sure lock aspect ratio is unchecked. < I have cropped to 750px x 145px.
- Go to effects->artistic effects->chrome and apply the following settings:

- Go to effects->distortion effects->ripple and apply the following settings:

- Go to effects->distortion effects-warp and apply the following settings:

- Go to adjust->blur->gaussian blur 7.10 radius.
- Hit Ctrl+C (or whatever hotkey you use) to copy the image.
- Get the rectangluar selection tool and make a selection in the middle of the image. (Use the image above for reference) Then flip it top to bottom.
- Add a drop shadow with the following settings:

- Give it another drop shadow with the same settings as above except change the horizontal to -7. Select none.
- Add a new raster layer. Get the circle selection tool and select an area in one of the corners.
- Choose 2 colors from the image with the eyedropper. Change your stroke to gradient and choose foreground/background, rectangular style and flood fill the selection. Make sure the selection is floating, if not float it (selections->float).
- Click on the pen tool. Settings are: Simple mode checked, drawing mode, line segment, width 2.00. Now draw a line thru the selection.
- Add a drop shadow with the following settings:

- Add another drop shadow but change the vertical -2 and horizontal 0.
- Ctrl+C (or edit->copy) the selection then Ctrl+E (or edit->paste as a new selection) in one of the other corners. Repeat this 2 more times.
If you are not crazy about this color you can colorize it to your tastes. Then add your text and you are done!
