This is an intermediate to advanced level tutorial and assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP...but that is not to say that a beginner can't do it. If you are a beginner try it, you might surprize yourself!
This tutorial is based on a Photoshop tutorial found at Weborum. I do not claim that this is my original idea, I just adapted it for use in PSP.
Resources- PSP 9. You can download a demo HERE.
- DSB Flux filter. You can download it HERE. Unzip it into your plugins folder.
Let's get started
*Please note: If you install this tutorial as a quick guide you may get a script error when trying to view the images, just click "yes" at the prompt and the images will show properly. Don't know how to install quick guides? then check out the tutorial found HERE.- Open a new image 800px x 300px, black, raster background, res 72, 16 mil colors
- Set your background color to any bright color, I chose #05ff05.
- Select a medium to wide font, I used fontdinerdotcom luvable, at 72pt and apply it to the center of the canvas floating.
- Go to Selections->Load/Save Selection->Save Selection to Alpha Channel. There is no need to name it so just hit save.
- Select none.
- Go to Effects->Distortion Effects->Polar Coordinates and choose Polar to Rectangle
- Go to Effects->DBS Flux->Blast. Set the percentage to 56. You are going to give it 5 "blasts" so set the direction in this order: down down up up down.
- Go to Effects->Distortion Effects->Polar Coordinates and choose Rectangle to Polar
- Go to Adjust->Blur->Gaussian Blur radius 2.50.
- Add new raster layer.
- Go to Selections->Load/Save Selection->Load Selection from Alpha Channel and load your selection.
- Go to Selections->Modify->Expand by 3.
- Get the flood fill tool
and fill the selection with the color you started with, in my case #05ff05. - Select none. Then give it a gaussian blur radius 2. Lower the opacity of the layer to 62.
- Add a new raster layer.
- Load your selection from the alpha channel again. Flood fill it with black. Select none.
- Duplicate the black text layer. Go to Image->Flip.   Get the Mover tool
and move the selection down. - Get the deform tool
and deform it to make it look like a shadow. Lower the opacity to 72. - Merge all layers (flatten). Resize 50% and your done.
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and found it easy to follow. If you have any comments or questions please feel free to .
