Let's get started

  1. Open chair.jpg in PSP.  Shift+D and close the original. Promote to layer.
  2. Make a new raster layer. Select all.
  3. Open 4bg.jpg. Shift+D and close original. Apply graussian blur radius 9.97. Crtl+C to copy. Minimize him for later use.
  4. Reactivate the image of the woman making sure the empty layer is still selected.  Paste the now blurred man into this layer. Now drag this layer to the bottom of the palette for the background. Select none.

Tap away the background from around the woman and scrub away the rest. Don't worry about tapping on the woman as it just gives her a little bit of an ethreal look, just don't over do it.  Also, leave a little of the blue around her in spots.

  1. Duplicate the layer.
  2. Make the original layer of the woman active and move it up and to the right sightly. Something like this:
the shadow

Lower the opacity to 74. Merge the two women layers.
  1. Add a new raster layer.  Using the eclipical selection tool, draw a selection starting roughly at coordinates 103,206 (refer to the finished image for placement).   Add a drop shadow with the following settings:

Erase any part of the shadow that is over the face or hair so that it looks like the shadow is behind her. Select none.
  1. Add a new raster layer.  Apply the orb tube size 183.  Refer to the finished image for placement.
  2. Add another new raster layer. Apply the tube of the man size 50 inside the orb. Move this layer under the orb layer.   Completely erase any part of him that is beow the orb.  Lower the opacity to 72. Merge these two layers and drag the new layer below the woman.
  3. Add yet another new raster layer and randomly apply the two brushes color black. Lower the opacity to 17 and drag it below the orb layer.
  4. Maximize the 4bg.jpg image to activate it again. Apply another graussian blur radius 9.91.
  5. Apply, as a selection your text in a large enough point so that it reaches both sides of the image (the example is 90pt). Also, apply it near the top where the colors are the lightest.  Move the selection down so that you pull the selection from the background. Ctrl+C to copy.
  6. Now go back to the image of the woman and paste your text as a new layer. If the text is not tall enough to look good, use the deform tool to heighten it a little.
  7. Select none. Apply a drop shadow using the same settings as before except change the opacity to 100.
  8. Apply another drop shadow.  Change the settings to:
drop shadow settings 2
